Bega Fire Station personnel were called to the Carp St car dealership around 3.30am.
According to the station’s deputy captain Gerard Hanscombe, the blaze was extinguished about one hour later.
Bega’s firies were assisted by Merimbula and Narooma Fire Station personnel, as well as Rural Fire Service members.
Bega Police attended the scene.
Mr Hanscombe said he was impressed by the response time of his fire station crew.
“It was terrific, they were there within minutes,” he said.
When the Bega District News arrived at the scene, a by-stander remarked that he didn't realise there had been a blaze.
The man said he thought the dealership might have been in the process of being re-painted, until he saw the damage.
A Momsen Motors representative declined to comment about the incident.
* It is unsure what sparked the blaze and the incident is under investigation by police.
