This is the fourth time the Tathra business has taken out an award in the best garden centres and production nurseries in the New South Wales competition.
The business was also awarded the State's best water-wise garden centre.
"Everyone at Kangarutha Nursery is absolutely thrilled to be named the best medium garden centre in our state.
"It is a great achievement, and fantastic recognition of our staff and the job they do," said Bruce Hamilton, one of the proprietors of Kangarutha Nursery.
"Kangarutha Nursery takes water-wise gardening very seriously, so we were also pleased to be the recipients of this special award.
"Our main source of water is our irrigation dam and we recycle our nursery water.
"We also encourage our gardeners to make efficient use of water, with a dedicated display of water saving products and drought tolerant plants," Mr Hamilton said.
He said the nursery is a colourful oasis in harmony with its natural bush surrounds.
"The delights of Kangarutha Nursery slowly unfold as visitors travel our 400 metre driveway through lovely farmland, tall eucalypt forest and past a big lake, which is our water storage dam.
"We have an unusual centre, filled with interesting structures and artwork, complemented by beautiful plants.
"We encourage our gardeners to meander and discover at their leisure, and relax under the brollies of our outdoor settings with a cup of tea or coffee.
"The ambience of Kangarutha Nursery makes it a destination in itself and a world of inspiration," Mr Hamilton said.
"Visitors can be assured of a wonderful experience, the highest quality of plants and friendly, professional service".
Presented jointly by Nursery and Garden Industry Australia and the Garden Centres Association of Australia, the Awards celebrate exceptional performance across the entire garden industry.
"We are delighted with the high standard of this year's awards participants, which demonstrate our industry's professionalism," said the CEO of Nursery and Garden Industry Australia, Richard de Vos.
"We are especially proud of state representatives, would like to congratulate them for their achievements and wish them well as they proceed to the national judging stage."
Kangarutha Nursery will now move on to contest the national titles, an award which the business has won twice in the past.
These will be announced at Nursery and Garden Industry Australia National Conference in Fremantle, Western Australia later this month.
