Shoddy road repair work
I would like to know who these people are regularly "repairing" our roads, taking months at a time, causing havoc even with the limited traffic we have in our area.

We just went through almost four months of "repairs" on Brown Mountain. Must have been pretty poor work.
There are so many potholes now that it's only a matter of time before some major accident takes place because of someone trying to avoid a pothole or losing control after falling into one.
Some are quite deep. Most seem to be strategically placed just before or after a bend in the road so there is no way of avoiding it other than to wander dangerously across to the opposite lane so most people would just fall into the pothole.
The people responsible (really?) for the shoddy work should be penalised and made to repair this at their own expense. Shoddy workers and non accountability are putting people's lives in danger.

Offshore wind farms
Just wondering how this will affect the annual shearwater (mutton bird) migration on their way down the coast to Victoria and Tasmania?

Benefits to wind power
Having been interested in wind power for a long time - I came originally from the Netherlands where wind power has been in use for many years - I have seen them on land and from a distance at sea.
I am in favour of wind power, especially when constructed on the seas. The benefits are no noise pollution, out of harms way, no pollution.
To state they are uneconomical, who cares unless you're investing money in these programs and nobody is forced to. Plenty of people lose money on the stock market, and make lots of money on various schemes.
It will create a fair amount of work in that area, which I know pretty well. My opinion only.

Brilliant idea
A brilliant idea to get renewable energy for the South Coast.

Water bill woes
My water bill has gone from around 70 or 80 dollars to 200 dollars. I haven't watered the garden once, and for six weeks of the billing period I was in Canberra having radiation treatment. Something is far wrong.

Praise for doctors
On Wednesday I sliced my right little finger very badly.
This was about 4.30pm - my wife immediately drove me to Cobargo Doctors - we arrived 4.45pm and the receptionist and the doctor attended to me as an urgent case. We left about 30 to 40 minutes later - me with six stitches and arm in a sling.
All done professionally and with great care. Sorry to all those five people waiting for their turn.
The doctors and receptionist really are a good lot. Special thanks to Maria and especially Doctor Tracy Lucas-Ramadan.

Parks for everyone
I am deeply concerned about the possible commercial development of the Light to Light walk in Ben Boyd National Park.
Parks are for conservation and all people, not for business or profit, or a select few wealthy tourists.
This proposed development is completely at odds with the vision, philosophy and spirit of law on which the gazetting of land for National Parks was based.
