Narooma's NATA Oval will become a car-lover's paradise this weekend for the eighth Narooma Motors classic and Fancy Car and Bike Show.
The show will start at 9am on Saturday, January 29, and event organiser Pete Howe expects more than 100 cars on display.
"We'll have fancy cars, classic cars, American stuff, anything a bit out of the ordinary," Mr Howe said. "We'll also have people's pride and joys, restored antiques, and some of the really classy older stuff.
"That includes bikes as well, we got some beautiful motorcycles."
Mr Howe started the event eight years ago as a meet and greet after taking over Narooma Motors.
"This is the eighth one," Mr Howe said. "We had a break in the middle due to COVID-19.
"It started off as a meet and greet. I took over Narooma Motors eight years ago, so we did some housekeeping and a bit of a clean up, and had a meet and greet with existing clients.
"It was bigger than expected, and I had people asking me if I'd do it again the next year.
"It eventually got too big for the shop, and it's nearly too big for NATA Oval now.
"Last year was huge, much bigger and better than we expected - we had something like 120 entrants. If the weather is good, I'm expecting that type of number again, and we'll have NATA Oval just about full."
This year's event will have 19 trophies, with at least five dedicated to motorcycles. All trophies will carry a cash prize, and there will be almost $3200 handed out in prizes on the day.
The Moruya Sharks will also be at the event running a fundraising BBQ.
For the kids, Narooma Mobile Leisure Sport will have mini golf and a selection of lawn games on offer.
The Brick n Bust is also back this year. Narooma VRA will demonstrate their rescue tools and skills on a Mazda 2 after which the engine will be run at full revs with no oil or water until it blows. Tickets are sold prior to the event, and the ticket-holder with the time it took the engine to blow up will win the pot.
Gates open at 9am, and the event is free entry.
