With many clubs playing their first game of the season all the Club Bega A Grade games were vital for the makeup of the ladder.
Kameruka (4/96) defeated Narooma (95) - Jordan Stafford (5/21) and Jack Matthews (4/13) led a strong Kameruka bowling display as Narooma was restricted to 95 from 19.4 overs. A strong opening partnership from Roland Jones-Whittem (41) and Nemesh Ambagahawatte (29) put the game beyond Narooma's grasp and victory was secured in the 17th over.
Pambula (1/93) travelled to Mallacoota (9/90) and enjoyed some southern hospitality. The Bluedogs were all business restricting Mallacoota to 9/90 off its allotted 20 overs and made short work of the run chase passing the total in the 11th over. Openers Dean Mansfield with 53 and Rory McAlpin (28no) did the bulk of the work with the bat.
Bermagui (7/161) was keen to show off its brand-new pitch and set an imposing total of 161 from the 20 overs. Ben Tett was the chief destroyer with 67 off just 37 balls. Merimbula's Brendan Daley was admirable in trying to stem the run flow with 3/24 from his four overs. In reply Bermi's bowlers never gave up control of the match with a great team display led by Sean Lambert (2/23). Captain Daley (41) and young gun Tommy Miller (18) were valiant in the run chase, but the total was just too much, Merimbula finishing on 9/108.
Bega Angledale hosted Tathra on the turf at George Griffin Oval and produced its best fielding display in years to restrict a dangerous Tathra side to 61 from 16.5 overs. Three run outs and a great team bowling display with every bowler chipping in was especially pleasing to captain Trevaskis. Bulls' openers Hamish Wilcox (14) and Brad Moon (14) took the pressure off with a strong opening stand, and despite three quick wickets falling Bega Angledale was never in danger of not chasing down the total.

This week's matches
The weather issues earlier in the season means that there is a logjam heading in to the finals of the Club Bega A grade competition on December 18.
The northern pool in particular has four of the five clubs still in contention to make the finals and in the southern pool a couple of upset results could see any one of three teams make the all-important top two.
