The 7km walk will begin at South Pambula bridge at 10am on Saturday, October 30, and will finish at the Merimbula bridge.
Bega Valley's running legend Dane Waites will be leading the walk, known for his 4000km run from Perth to Pambula for autism in 2017.
"Dane participated in the 7 Bridges at Sydney two years ago and we thought with the virtual 7 Bridges walk, it might be a good idea to do it all as a team," Disability Trust's team leader, Kat Cetkovic said
Ms Cetkovic said the walk will be doubly meaningful as it not only raises funds for a good cause, but will allow people to connect together in person again.
"It's a really good opportunity for everyone to get outside and be active for a good cause, and also to be able to connect and catch up," she said.
"So many people have been isolated due to COVID-19, and now we're able to do a few more things again."
The 7 Bridges walk, run by the Cancer Council, is typically held in Sydney. However, as a result of COVID-19 restrictions, the walk has been held virtually for two years.
This has meant people completing the 28km walk could do so in their own communities and at their own pace.
Ms Cetkovic said since the bridge walk was only seven kilometres from Pambula to Merimbula, any persons interested in completing the 28km can undertake as many walks as they like, leading up to the 7km walk.
To make the walk inclusive, Ms Cetkovic said clients can choose where they want to start from.
"We're actually doing it so clients will be able to start at any point along the walk that is suited to their ability," she said.
The Disability Trust Bega group have nicknamed themselves 'The Trust Trekkers' and have raised $2465 so far.
For those wanting to support but can't take part in the walk, you can donate online to the Trusty Trekkers at: 7bridgeswalk.com.au/fundraisers/thetrustytrekkers.
Ms Cetkovic said at the Bega Disability Trust branch, the staff and clients feel passionate about raising money towards a cancer free future.
"Several clients and staff have had family members affected by cancer and quite a lot of them are actually walking in memory of someone special to them," she said.
