The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning as a cold front moves through the Bight and moves into the East, tapping into warm, moist air from the tropics.
This unstable environment will produce rain and storms and a slow moving low pressure system, causing multiple days of rain and thunderstorms across the southeast part of the country.
By Wednesday October 13, the southeast will start to see the impacts as heavy rainfall, sever thunderstorms, and damaging winds make their way across Victoria.
According to Weatherzone, there is a 90 percent change of rainfall in Bega on Wednesday, with around 10-20mm of rain predicted.
On Thursday, October 14, it is predicted that wide spread thunderstorms and rain will impact most of the east coast of NSW.
In Bega there are possible thunderstorms predicted with another 10-20mm of rain fall, and it is likely to reach tops of 22 degrees.
The damaging winds likely to be seen across the border appear not to be too alarming for the Valley at this point, with wind speeds of up to 20km per hour predicted for Thursday and 21km per hour on Saturday.
Showers are likely to continue into Friday and Saturday, but will be easing on Sunday October 17, when it is likely to be sunny and a top of 21 degrees in Bega.
