The three new cases are all reportedly located in Beauty Point and are linked to known cases in the Eurobodalla shire the health district said.
While initially recorded as Eurobodalla cases, the SNSWLHD quickly corrected the information, with Beauty Point located on the Bega Valley side of Wallaga Lake, the bridge being the boundary between the two shires.
The confirmation makes these three the first cases of COVID-19 in the Bega Valley since early 2020.
Two cases reported in Merimbula last month were both found to be false positives and removed from the official figures.
Meanwhile, on Monday, October 4, SNSWLHD also released two new COVID-19 venues of concern in Bermagui.
Tuesday, September 28, 1.20pm to 1.50pm: Bermagui BP, 8 Wallaga Lake Road
Tuesday, September 28, 1pm to 2pm: Bermagui Woolworths, 1-9 Young Street
If you were at either of these venues at the noted times, you should get tested immediately and self-isolate until you get a negative result.
If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, get tested immediately and self-isolate until you receive a negative test result.

Across the district there were 21 new COVID-19 cases recorded in the 24 hours to 8pm Sunday, October 3.
Eleven are in the Queanbeyan-Palerang region and seven in the Snowy Monaro region.
This brings the total cases in the SNSWLHD to 271 since the start of the current outbreak in June.
Across the state, there were 623 new locally acquired cases and six deaths.

In The Bega Valley, more than 90 per cent of residents have had their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination, while 60-69 per cent have had both doses.
