Officers observed about 15 people in attendance, who were spoken to in relation to breaches of the Public Health Orders.
The group was issued a move-on direction and left the area only to gather again shorty afterwards at Elizabeth Street.
They were again asked to return home with only some of the group complying.
Officers obtained details from those who remained and seven infringements will be issued for breaching public health orders, and two will be issued for not wearing a fitted face mask
Inquiries into the incident are continuing, with police continuing to review body worn vision and mobile phone footage to identify any further offences.
