Recreational fishing, boating including power boat, sail and paddle is allowed.
You are allowed to go fishing with one other person (excluding household members) and you can only fish in your LGA (Local Government Area) or if outside your LGA within five kilometres from your home.
You are not permitted to travel along a water system outside your LGA or further than five km from home to reach coastal waters.
Fishing offshore is allowed within five kilometres from your house. LGA's only cover land and do not extend offshore. You must follow the rules in regards to ramp access and be within your LGA.
Where a body of water is bounded by several LGA's, people may be on that main body of water but cannot travel through or past other LGA's to reach other rivers, estuaries or the open sea.
Fishing stores are generally not an essential service and as such their doors must be closed but most are allowing click or phone and collect.
Bermagui Bait and Tackle sells petrol and food and are still open for business.
Compleat Angler Narooma has closed it doors but are doing phone orders with pickup.
Narooma Fishing and Dive Centre is closed and charters are not running.
