Well it wasn't on the street where we heard it, but executive director of South East Arts Andrew Gray did confirm many of the sessions are already sold-out, including the 'in conversation' with Bruce Pascoe.
"Ticket sales have been very strong," he said. "There are still tickets for available for the others with Mark McKenna, Scott Ludlum and Sophie Laguna but they will likely be audiences over 100.
"The free evening and afternoon events are sold out, as is the Tales from the Sea at the Wharf, but there are still tickets for the free poetry breakfasts," said Mr Gray.
Publishing and Novel writing workshops are also sold out, with a small number of tickets left for memoir writing and short stories.
There are also tickets still left for the two industry sessions on getting published and podcasts and many of the 'in conversation' sessions which will be held at the hall.
"We are powering along and looking forward to what should be a great festival," he said.
Myoung Jae Yi from Candelo Books has been heavily involved with organisation of the festival, particularly in mustering together the speakers for the event.
He said he is particularly excited about the local focus for the festival.
"There's quite a few authors who live in the area, who grew up in the area or have strong family connections to Tathra and to the Bega Valley, so I think it will be good for their families and friends to all gather together and celebrate their success as authors."
He said that the organising committee have got preparations on many fronts this week for the event which will run from Friday May 14 until Sunday May 16.
"My personal role is to liaise with all the authors, make sure that all their flights are booked and accommodation is being provided for. I must say that the Tathra Hotel has been most generous in offering their hotel for all the authors.
"There's also sound and AV prep that Sam from Sam's Caravan is organising for us, also the kitchen at the Tathra Hall is being organised by Steve Jackson who is a local chef and also a food van restorer.
"We've also got the Tathra Wharf museum on board, they're giving a history talk and will be hosting the Tales From the Sea readings.
"The highlight for the festival will definitely be Bruce Pascoe, his event is already sold out and also Sophie Laguna in conversation with Linda Mottram, as we expect that to be sold out as well.
"Personally I am looking forward to the slam poet Omar Musa who will be performing his poetry on the Saturday night," said Mr Jae Yi.
