The international group of non-competitive running social clubs has established a group in Merimbula organised by Peter Matthey.
Peter said the first outing was in November last year but now the club is getting established and there will be a walk/run on the third Saturday of each month and if there is sufficient interest on a Monday evening.
"Hash House Harriers are part of a worldwide social group with over 150 clubs in Australia. In November there were 32 starters and they came from Cooma, Canberra and Sydney hash clubs," Peter said.
"The Hash House Harriers set the run for you and it's different each time, anywhere between 4-8km; it could be bush or suburbs," he said.
"And if you go away you can join another group as a visitor, it's a worldwide organisation and sometimes people travel to do different courses," Peter said.
"This is open to all men and women and is a fun way to maintain fitness and meet people."
The next meet is on April 24 at the far end of Berrambool Drive, Merimbula starting at 2pm. Just turn up and make yourself known to Peter or contact him before at prmatthe@gmail.com or 0408 289 562.
