The theme for this year's celebration is Together More Than Ever and is organised by young people, for young people, in communities across NSW and Australia.
Bega Valley Shire Council (BVSC) released a statement this week about Youth Week.
"It is an opportunity for young people to express their ideas and views, act on issues that affect their lives, and create and enjoy activities and events."
There will be a range of events held around the Bega Valley supported by BVSC for young people to participate in.
Skate workshops will be held on Sunday April 11 at Tathra Skatepark and Monday April 12 at Bega Skatepark from 10-1.30pm.
Different levels will be held for those aged 6 and over and professional grade safety gear, helmets, and skateboards will be provided.
Far South Film will run a 2-day youth workshop for ages 12 to 18 on Friday April 16 and Saturday April 24 at the Funhouse Studio in Bega.
Film workshop topics covered:
- Fundamentals of live streaming.
- How to create Instagram-style face filters using SparkAR.
- How to create interactive visual effects with TouchDesigner.
- How to create 3D characters.
- How to capture video of your characters.
- How to livestream / record an event using OBS
Kianinny Clean Up in Tathra will run Saturday April 17 from 10.30 until 1pm at Kianinny Bay. Book via email or call 0410 026 990.
Sapphire Coast Boardriders will hold two free surf coaching sessions on Sunday April 18.
There will be an art workshop using mixed media techniques of painting, drawing, mono printing, collage and cutouts held by Sprial Gallery Bega on Saturday April 24 at the Old Bega Hospital.
