This will be the the fourth annual visit from the ACT club, who last year donated $1000 in support of local fire-fighting efforts from the Black Summer fires.
As previously, all Bega Roosters supporters are invited with gold coin entry and two games to be held on the day with the first grade kicking off at 1pm with a league-tag clash also featuring the Bears to run at 2.15pm on Saturday.
The club will host a barbecue with cold beer and soft drinks available at the ground, while social distancing measures will be in place to ensure public safety.
Barton said the hit out against the Bears would be a great way to shake out some cobwebs and gain some match fitness ahead of the regular season starting in April.
The Roosters will showcase a mix of familiar and new faces in their top squad including a solid balance between some of Group 16's toughest forwards and exciting speedsters.
"In that squad there are probably 10 guys coming out of the winning under 18s side and they're excited to come into the senior comp," Barton said.
"The energy is amazing and they're keeping even the older guys young, it's probably done some of the older guys wonders, they're training well and they're keen."
Headlining the quicks will be returning star Zac Cuzner in the centres, joined by Reece Moulden on the wing to form a dangerous combination of blazing runners, while Kiwi import Toroa Rapana is set to test his mettle as the club's incoming fullback in the number one jumper.
Barton said fellow New Zealander Shae Gray would also be an exciting prospect to watch lining up at right centre for the club.
The front row looks formidable with grand final man of the match in the 2019 under 18s Darnell Andy rising from the junior ranks to join the likes of Dan Hyland alongside another rising star from the juniors Jordan Gray-Balcomb.
The Roosters will also have some utility and size off the bench with Matt McGovern and Brendan Bartlett.
The tri-colours also boast an exciting halves combination with Clay Ellison and Josh Shepherdson to take charge in directing play through the middle.
The Bears have traditionally brought a big front row to the annual trial and Barton said it's the key battleground on a rugby league field.
"You win all footy games in the middle, but with the youth and speed on our side we'll be playing on the attack and hitting the edges," Barton said. "We're a pretty quick team and we've been training a lot of movement."
Barton encourages league fans to head along for both games with this to be the first senior league in Group 16 colours since 2019.
