The 23 children settled in "beautifully" according to principal Tracey Gray.
"I am so happy that there is a real sense of joy and wonder about the kids. The teachers have been so wonderful in preparing how the year has started," Ms Gray said.
As the morning assembly was called, all the children followed teacher Yvonne Brown in rows of two, listening to her with their best manners and following her like ducklings to the Lighthouse Garden.
"I am amazed by how quickly we are getting into a routine, like this morning standing up and following me without any practice," Ms Brown said.
Once at the garden the children dispersed and played in groups all around the outdoor interactive playground.
"I just love how they are already embracing the outdoors environment that we've got. This morning some chose to play inside and some chose to play outside," Ms Gray said.
With having a larger group of pupils this year, Ms Brown said she was very grateful to have a Kindergarten assistant with her.
"With someone in my room every single morning everybody is getting individual attention," Ms Brown said.
"Some of the parents have been worried that with such a large group their child wouldn't get enough attention, but with two of us there we are both there to respond."
Ms Gray encouraged parents who are interested in enrolling their children into Kindergarten to not delay as they are growing at a rapid rate.
Ms Gray mentioned they already have a waiting list on Kindergarten pupils this year and that parents are welcome to join the pre-Kindergarten classroom, which will guarantee them a spot for next year.
Kindergarten assistant Lucy Trevaskis said there are only five pupils brand new to the school this year and the rest had come from pre-Kindergarten.
"You wouldn't know which five kids are the new ones, they all have been able to settle in," Ms Trevaskis said.
