Dressed in an assortment of Santa hats, elves' ears and even a full Santa suit, the stand-up paddleboarders enjoyed a glorious flat morning that developed a small and fun wave as the morning warmed.

The water at this time of year is stunning, crystal clear and warm enough that the wetsuits may not have even been needed - which was nice when this editor tried his hand at a SUP for the first time (after locking away the camera!)
