These weekend workshops will carry on the tradition of the Footprint Theatre Film Schools that were held in previous years.
A two-day workshop for newcomers aged 10 to 16 will be held on the two Saturdays of November 14 and 21 at Mumbulla School, Bega.
On day one participants will act, direct, operate a camera and learn some pro tricks for framing shots, lighting subjects and recording great sound, then on day two students will learn editing techniques.
Also, a two-day workshop for more experienced filmmakers aged 12 to 18 will be held on the two Sundays of November 15 and 22 at Mumbulla School, Bega.
The workshop will take participants' film making skills to a new level with a more in-depth look at how to breakdown a script, create a shotlist, schedule and manage a film shoot.
Working as a team in front of or behind the camera, students will have access to all footage shot on day one and be able to edit their own rough cut version ready for feedback before fine-tuning their edit on day two.
Each workshop costs between $20 and $40 to attend and this project is supported by Arts NSW's Country Arts Support Program, a devolved funding program administered by the Regional Arts NSW and South East Arts on behalf of the NSW government.
Workshops are limited to 12 participants and bookings are essential via Far South Film's website.
