Bega Valley's fashionable race goer has something big and bird-inspired for Flemington's fashions on the field competition this year.
However, instead of lighting up the Melbourne Cup runway, Ms Ambrose will show-off her colour and bubbly personality from her front lawn. This year, the high-fashion event will be held completely online.
"It's nice that I am planting my feet here at home, but I will still be bringing colour around on Cup Day," she said.
"From around the country we have seen so many wonderful clubs participate in virtual fashions on your front lawn competitions.
"It's a wonderful way for many to feel fabulous, pamper themselves, have a reason to get dressed up, enjoy a bubbles or two, and place their best foot forward on a new and exciting platform whilst feeling apart of the fashions off the field community."
The 2018, South East fashions on the field ambassador wants to make this year's Cup Day lighthearted and fun.
"The last 12 months has been a shocker, so I want to put smiles on people's faces and bring that buzz," she said.
Ms Ambrose said the day will be fun and spontaneous and was yet to decide where to make appearances.
"I am not 100 percent sure where I will go yet, I plan on doing a few pop-up appearances," Ms Ambrose said.
Ms Ambrose puts her millinary and fashion skills to work each year. This year's outfit will be Australian themed: "native and flamboyant, with quite a bit of feathers, frill, big volume and colour!"
"I have been so conscious on repurposing, and I am looking forward to wearing a very special piece that is symbolic, tells a story and holds close to my heart.
"I look forward to being able to add an extra pop of colour to the South Coast community - after all this is where all of my inspiration comes from, my heart and home."
Ms Ambrose would regularly attend race days across the countryside, except this year, she will tour around home.
