The chef has put together a three-course menu of traditional German food and the brewers at Longstocking Brewery, Pambula are preparing three German-style beers specially for the event.
There will also be imported German beers available.
To set the scene the staff at Oaklands will be dressed to impress in their dirndls and there will be live entertainment with traditional German beer drinking music from Paul Dion and friends.
Organiser Nigel Ayling, who is a craft beer enthusiast said it should be a great night.
"Due to COVID restrictions, this year the festival will be a single sit down event and we can accommodate up to about 130 people safely," Mr Ayling said.
"Next year we are planning to grow it into a three-day event, along the same lines as the Eat festival," he added.
The Bega Valley's first Oktoberfest is on Saturday, October 3 from 6pm at Oaklands Barn, Pambula.
Bookings are essential due to COVID restrictions as numbers are limited.
Mr Ayling sauid there had been a glitch in the booking system earlier which showed the event incorrectly as being booked out but this had been fixed and he urged anyone who had unsuccessfully tried to book to return to the online site https://www.southcoasttickets.com.au/events/oktoberfest-in-pambula/
Tickets include the three-course German meal, three beers - or an alternative such as wine - and live entertainment. Tickets are $125 per person or $120 per person for a table of 10.
