A newly-launched "Tool Library" aims to provide tools to those who lost their collections in summer's devastating bushfires.

From chainsaws, an angle grinder and circular saw down to tape measures, it has many useful tools to help locals with their projects.
Based in Cobargo, members of the community group can borrow equipment and hand tools at no cost, other than for consumables.
"When we opened in July we had a lot on our plates with COVID safety to manage, incorporation, inventory handling, new memberships and we built our library system from scratch," chair and initiator of the Triangle Tool Library Scott Herring said
"But it's worked, we're busy and things are flowing safely and smoothly."
Seventy members have signed up already and Mr Herring said "the beauty of the tool library is we can all have the results without needing to own the gear".
He thanked the Cobargo Community Bushfire Recovery Fund, which supported the tool library with a $20,000 donation.
"Having good community support and donations from all over Australia has opened many doors for the group in the beginning," he said.
"We also had amazing support from the Independent Hardware Group (IHG) who supports locally-owned hardware operators in the region under the Mitre 10, Home Hardware and Thrifty-Link banner like at the Cobargo Co-op.
"They gave us a new side-opening container, packed with really good tools and safety gear to share in the communities that are rebuilding after the recent fires. It's a bit of an ark," Mr Herring said.
"It made 'day one' possible as well as giving us a core to work from and for people to enjoy."
Mr Herring said sharing economy projects often take time to start up, but thanks to the Cobargo Fund, IHG, the Cobargo Co-op, Sapphire Nu-Pulse, Minderoo, and his own community the tool library was running from day one.
In September the library was given a container of hand tools and cleaning equipment arranged by the NSW Freemasons' Association through the lodges of Bega, Pambula and Moruya as well as some men's sheds and Country Women's Association groups.
Many of these tools will be shared with other communities in the Bega Valley Shire through the masons.
"We got those tools here just in time to give them to the students at the Cobargo and Quaama Public Schools for Father's Day," Mr Herring said.
Anyone can can donate or give tools to the library, with Mr Herring saying those for home farmers to borrow were particularly useful.
"We want to help small acre farmers with a good start," he said.
"Those useful tools are the popular items, like the augers and wire spinners and the members want a star picket driver.
"We're also open to video training for everyone as well, so that's something to look forward to."
