The Bombala ladies played a Stroke for the Janet Cowell Trophy on Wednesday. Numbers were slightly down due to other commitments, nevertheless the girls enjoyed a good day on the fairways.

The winner of the trophy was Joy Douch 79 nett. Ball winner Gay Kennedy 85 nett. NTP was Joy Douch. Gobblers on the day: Gay Kennedy 5th and Marlene Kennedy 9th.
On Saturday members played a 4 Ball Stableford for the Late J Haslingden and Paul Halligan Trophy.
Winners were Simon Stephen and Brendan Weston 41 points. Ball winners Simon and Westy, Chris and Paul Halligan along with Korie and Wayne Elton 40 points. NTP won by Merv Douch.
The story goes that the winners of the trophies both put their drives in the dam on the 17th wiping the hole.
Sunday was a Stroke for the Monthly Medal.
A spokesperson from Bombala Golf Club said, they welcomed a couple of border patrol police who filled in their afternoon with a round of golf.
"One chap had played sand greens at Coolamatong many years ago when they had sand greens. It was an experience for them and their scores weren't too bad."
The winner on a c/b was Pepper Thompson from Ray Fermor with 71 nett. Balls went to Pepper, Ray, Ross Brown and Brendan Weston both 72 nett. NTP was Pepper Thompson.
Match play: Wayne Elton and Cary Elton defeated Korie Elton and Tim Gronow 3/2.
