Bega Valley Public School principal Carolyn Nugent said Education Week the annual celebration of public education, held this year between August 3 and 7, had the theme 'Learning together', which she said drew on the education community's sentiment in what has been a difficult year.
The school held a Create and Innovate Day on Tuesday, August 4. The week was launched by the school's mock parliament and its ministers, and Wednesday saw pupils take part in the public school driven online Film By festival.
Of the 300 entries from across the state, Wolumla Public School was named in the top 15 with its production 'Who Stole the Cookie'.
The school said it was excited by the news at it was unable to host it's biennial Performing Arts Festival.
