However, it was the result of more than just the torrential rain and cold weather that saw the Sea Eagles change shades.
They all put blue colouring through their hair ahead of the game against Bega in support of autism awareness.
Adam Elliott, of the NRL Bulldogs, has dyed his hair blue for the month of August alongside his brother James and their dad. His former club was only too happy to join in on the action to help fundraise for the Autism Community Network.
Donations on the day were presented to the Elliott family to pool with their ongoing fundraising efforts. To support the cause visit autismcommunity.org.au.
The club reported Adam messaged everyone on the day to say they were legends and he was proud of them for getting involved.
Adding to the day's pride was Tathra's eventual win in the wet conditions, defeating the Roosters 20-12.
