Michelle De Friskbom from the Bega unit of the NSW State Emergency Service said the region "dodged a bullet", with the weekend's weather not reaching the extremes forecasters had predicted.
She said her team only attended one call-out on Sunday, and unit members moved to Moruya where a flood evacuation warning was issued.
While the Bureau of Meteorology canceled a strong wind warning for the Far South Coast on Monday, a hazardous surf warning was issued.
Bega saw 60.4 millimetres of rain fall across the weekend and into Monday morning, with wind gusts reaching a maximum of 48km/h on Sunday.
A minor flood warning for Bega was eased on Sunday, with the NSW SES saying the Bega River peaked at 2.8 metres at Bega on Sunday morning, below the minor flood level. The river reached 4.21 metres at Angledale.
The rainfall forced road closures in Bega, Tarraganda, Rocky Hall, Wapengo and Brogo into Monday morning.
