A snowstorm in the Bombala area has seen cars stranded and power cut to hundreds.
Bombala resident Sally-Ann Thompson, who sent in the above photos to the Bombala Times, said she estimated around 10cm (four inches) had fallen already, and while the sun poked its face out briefly, the white stuff was falling with a vengeance.
"It is heading north at a slow rate. Ando had none until about an hour ago," she said at 10.30am Wednesday, August 5.
"On the Bombala side of Nimmitabel turn off it started there about half an hour ago with really big flakes.
"Cars were stuck on the Maybe St hill and I was in second gear all the way home - it was building up on the car even while being driven! Never seen it like this before."
Essential Energy is reporting a wide swathe of unplanned interruptions, with around 250 customers affected through Delegate, Craigie, Bendoc and Corrowong.
According to Weatherzone, it's currently 0.8C in Bombala heading for a maximum of 6C!
