Victorians have spent their first night under new restrictions, in response to the state's second wave of COVID-19. For six weeks, Melbourne will be under an 8pm curfew as part of stage four restrictions announced by Premier Daniel Andrews yesterday. Regional Victoria has moved to stage three restrictions.

In NSW people are being encouraged to wear facemasks where social distancing is difficult after 13 new cases were recorded overnight.
As it stands Australia has 7159 active cases of COVID-19 and 10,420 people have recovered. Sadly, there has been 221 deaths attributed to the virus.
