The rains began on Saturday night and continued to Tuesday, resulting in roads being closed and lakes being opened to the ocean.
Over the seven days to Wednesday, the Bureau of Meteorology recorded 120mm of rain had fallen in Bega.
Merimbula received 105mm while Bermagui, which is recorded at Narooma, was hit with 192mm.
Wallaga Lake hit a high of 1.54metres about 7pm on Monday, while Bega River reached about 4.62metres at Bega North and Brogo River reached 5.99metres at Angledale early on Tuesday morning.
