By 3.15pm on Monday the lake had reached 1.41metres in height, but was steady, the Bureau of Meteorology reported.
Around midday the rising water had been threatening to swamp Wallaga Lake Rd, near the lake's bridge.
Bega Valley Shire Council has previously said the trigger point for opening Wallaga Lake is 1.25m or between 1.1m and 1.25m for three months.
Weatherzone reported in the 24 hours to 9am on Sunday, 24.6mm of rain had fallen in Bega, 19.8mm in Merimbula, and 38.5mm in Bermagui, which is measured through a station at Narooma.
The rainfall for Eden is recorded at Merimbula.
By 9am on Monday, 56.2mm had fallen in Bega, 31mm in Merimbula and Eden, 81mm in Bermagui and 6.6mm in Bombala.
