A NSW Police spokesperson said emergency services were called to a property on Greendale Rd, Greendale about 2pm on Sunday.
After police officers arrived at the locality, which is between Bega and Brogo, they found a deceased 79-year-old man.
"An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man's death is underway," the police spokesperson said.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
Editor's note: An earlier version of this article made reference to the death being possibly caused by the tractor rolling on the man. A family member has made contact to say that was not the case, and that authorities will investigate the actual cause. We apologise for any distress caused by reporting of the NSW Police-supplied details.
