Aymeric and Tilly Grand have joined the team at the scenic winery, started by Ms Grand's parents Glenn and Gail Butson more than 20 years ago, after Mr Grand fell in love with the area during his first visit 10 years ago.
Earlier this year the couple were traveling the world, when their trip was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of returning to their Bondi property, the couple sought a new adventure a little closer to home..
It was during the couple's time overseas that Mr Grand, who was born and raised in Paris, realised how much he enjoyed "being close to nature and looking at the stars".
"When you travel you disconnect from the nine to five lifestyle. It made us think differently.," he said.
"You gain a different perception of what makes you happy," he said.
Ms Grand said her family "love the idea of the business staying in the family", and the couple are looking to expand the winery's accommodation setting with a biodynamic focus due to the ongoing drought.
"We're taking one step at a time and working collectively, so it's a work in progress," she said.
The couple said despite the recession, residents are "wanting to help support" the business, and despite current COVID-19 restrictions and winter months, customers have been steady.
"People know this place, and we have dedicated locals who come every week," Ms Grand said.
