The incident took place at Broadwater, near near Hardakers Rd, with Live Traffic NSW reporting it began about 1am on Wednesday morning.
The highway is closed in both directions and is expected to remain closed until further notice.
Diversions:
- Light vehicles via Nethercote Rd, but this is unsuitable for heavy vehicles.
- Heavy vehicles can detour via Imlay Rd, Monaro Hwy and Snowy Mountains Hwy in both directions.
