The Liberal Democrats have entered the race for Eden-Monaro, putting forward a self-described "anti-pollie pollie" as the party's candidate
Dean McCrae says he is "fed up" and yearns for "the Australia of only a couple of decades ago; the Australia that believed in a fair go. Not the Australia where the government tells me how to live my life".
Mr McCrae is the NSW Southern Districts branch coordinator for the Liberal Democrats - and a qualified chef.
"I have taken those skills to work with a slew of local businesses with not just an entrepreneurial charm, but the ability to listen to all walks of life as they are invariably customers.
"I have seen the real impact of over-taxation, over-regulation, and the true cost that is borne by the working men and women who have to foot the bill for government mismanagement.
"It's just a bonus that I also can get loud about individual liberties, small business viability through a reduction in taxes and red tape, job promotion and creation, and a reduction in government of all levels sticking their noses in hard working Australian's day to day business."
