So it's pleasing to hear of some innovative artists working out ways to still get their tunes to their fans.
We've all seen the video of Italians in lockdown joining in a neighbourhood singalong with accordions and tambourines from their respective balconies.
Now Gunning pianist and actor Dianna Nixon is ready to perform from her front verandah to anyone in her street wishing to listen. The live performances dubbed 'Just Me and It's Free' will provide musical entertainment by night and Blinky Bill readings by day.
Meanwhile, Candelo musician Heath Cullen has turned to online funding platform Patreon to not only secure some form of regular income, but provide supporters with exclusive access to his projects, discounts on his music via Bandcamp and live streamed concerts.
