Assistant Commissioner Mick Willing said NSW and commonwealth governments were jointly covering the clean-up cost of insured and uninsured residential and eligible commercial properties destroyed in the NSW bushfires.
"You need to register with Service NSW to organise this free clean-up of your property," he said.
"Please call 137 788 or visit service.nsw.gov.au or go to your local recovery centre or tell one of our disaster recovery staff members you that want to sign up.
"Laing O'Rourke has been appointed as the clean-up contractor and are ready to go, on the ground, in several communities.
"The clean-up is due for completion by June 30, 2020."
