His defence attorney Jennifer Chalker said the Tarraganda man was currently at TAFE during the February 11 hearing at Bega Local Court.
The matter was adjourned to February 25 as Ms Chalker said the information in the case had "significantly grown" and she needed more time to process it.
Banner, 19, a former volunteer firefighter from Tarraganda, has previously pleaded not guilty to seven counts of intentionally causing a fire and being reckless to its spread.
His bail conditions will continue.
