On the back of an enormous showing in the Cricket ACT Female Bash series FSCCA president Charles Aggenbach said the competition never looked better with seven teams set to contest the season.
Mr Aggenbach praised the dozen or more local players who had formed part of the Female Bash series, saying they had generated plenty of exposure for talented local players.
"They've really turned heads in Canberra," Mr Aggenbach said. "We had a strong contingent of girls who have been on the rep scene for a number of years, but the Bash comp provided fantastic exposure for some of the new players coming through."
"Sharna [Mitchell] got a really good wrap from announcers as did Madelyne Czubara," he said.
"And Kaylee [Trenerry] is in the same boat too, they've really boosted the profile of female cricketers from the area."
Czubara was among the best scorers for the Eastern Fever in their loss to the Southern Pride outfit on Friday, scoring 28 not out.
Yasmin Welsford also added a worthy 14 to the tally before she was caught-out.
Wolumla's Janet King had been done cheaply for the Pride, but 79 not-out by Sarah Coyte led the team to a winning score.
In the second series final the Western Crash were able to defeat Northern Frenzy 156/118.
Eden's Jessie Mudaliar was among the wicket takers for the northern outfit, while club-mate Jemma Pollock faced just a few balls late in the innings for the West.
Merimbula's Amy Wells and Bemboka's Sharna Mitchell also had a stint with the bat for northern.
Meanwhile, Jade featured in the Under 18s National Championship-winning ACT/NSW Country team on the weekend in Hobart.
The team pipped Queensland by eight runs 117-109 with Jade run out late in the piece for the winning squad.
Mr Aggenbach said Jade, Jessie already at the top level there was now a serious contingent of locals knocking on the door and being noticed throughout the Canberra competitions.
On the back of shared rep success, the local competition is expected to flourish with seven teams to take on a seven-round draw.
Mr Aggenbach said the draw is tightly packed with a couple of rounds to play as double headers in Bega with a bit of a carnival format across three grounds.
The final will be held on March 21 and coincides with the finale of the first division men's competition.
Mr Aggenbach said the women's and the men's draws would come together on the final round with the ladies to play their T20 final in the morning before the men's clash at 1pm.
