Council has advised they are not yet able to accept large structural type materials as they may contain asbestos, and advise residents against clearing possibly contaminated materials.
"Council are working with all relevant agencies to address and manage this risk. Council will advise when and where these materials can be disposed of at a later date," council said.
While they are working with all relevant agencies to address and manage this risk, council said it will advise when and where these materials can be disposed of at a later date.
Items that can be currently taken to waste depots include fire affected outdoor furniture, smaller household items, garden implements, dog kennels, clothes lines, trampolines and food.
Materials will be assessed by staff and the waiver of fees will be reviewed weekly, council said.
