Moruya Jockey Club chairman Peter Atkinson said trainers, strappers, jockeys and officials met Scott Kennedy from Racing NSW on Tuesday, January 7.
"Racing NSW has announced a feed subsidy program through local suppliers," Mr Atkinson said.
"They have organised social packages so wages for employees will be paid. They will be providing feed and where possible subsidised care for horses in work and for recently retired racehorses.
"They are going the extra yard.
"They are providing information for all stakeholders on social security and will assist to lodge claims."
The Monday, January 7 meeting at Moruya was cancelled, as was the Friday, January 17, meeting due to the ongoing danger of fires and the interruption of training.
"Racing NSW will try their hardest schedule race meetings that we have lost," Mr Atkinson said.
"They will try to adjust the schedule to replace some of the meetings and to compensate trainers in whatever way they can, by scheduling other meetings or changing programs.
"The Racing NSW chief veterinarian has released protocol for training and racing horses in these conditions of extreme smoke."
