On Thursday, January 2, locals loaded up boats with donations from local supermarkets and local businesses to get supplies to residents left isolated after the devastating New Year's Eve blazes.
Environmental organisation Treading Light Inc coordinated the deliver helping deliver food and clothing to people without homes, power and necessities.
Coordinators on the ground in Bendalong and Lake Conjola are liaising with the community on distribution. Another delivery left Ulladulla Harbour on Friday morning.
Treading Lighting was full of praise in a social media for the waves of support. However, they have asked for people to be "please be patient" as it is community-based aid with difficulties to coordinate deliveries with poor communications in the fire-affected communities.
"I also can't express how grateful we are for all of your donations. It is hard to express in words what they have meant to so many, and we haven't even scratched the surface," founder Monica Mudge said.
"If we haven't gotten back to you please be patient with us. We are trying but we are in a state of emergency and learning and getting into action where it is most needed. This doesn't leave a lot of time for coordination and responding to all the wonderful offers of help and assistance, but we are trying."
Truckloads from the nation's capital
More than 20 tonnes of goods have been delivered to evacuation centres in Ulladulla and Milton from kind-hearted persons from Canberra.
Grant Schultz has helped coordinate the 'Canberra Crew' to deliver goods after a 300-kilometre drive with a five-hour wait at Island Point Rd and burning bush at the roadside to arrive about 2am on Friday, January 3.
"I'm gob smacked and somewhat exhausted," Mr Schultz said.
"Special thanks to Mick Shea and his forklift, ably assisted by Anthony Higgins and Cody Butler. I woke them at 2.30am to give us a hand. They did it without a moment's hesitation.
"Thank goodness as unloading 14 pallets by hand would have taken a week.
"Thanks Mick Anthony and Cody.
"Unbelievably the Canberra Crew want to do it all again next week.
"Finally a huge thanks to almost 25 people who turned up and waited till almost midnight so they could help unload."
