High temperatures and stronger winds on the firegrounds will put communities - urban and remote - under pressure.
The Currowan fire has been burning since Tuesday, November 26, and has consumed more than 128,000 hectares.
On Friday, December 20, it remained out of control. It has been spotting into parts of Burrill Lake, has spotted across the Kings Highway and near the Old Nelligen Road.
The Tianjara fire is under investigation after igniting on Thursday, December 19, well north of the Currowan firefront. It has consumed more than 5000 hectares and residents are preparing to evacuate.
A fire of Nowra at Comberton is also under investigation.
The Kings Highway remains closed between Braidwood and Nelligen.
The Turpentine and Braidwood Roads are closed.
The Araluen Road south of Moruya is closed to all except residents.
