The Volunteers' Christmas Party was held at the South East Regional Hospital, attended by volunteers from Bega, Tathra and Pambula Hospital Auxiliaries, the South Coast Knitters, Pambula Hospital and SERH.
"We are really grateful for the contribution of all volunteers who give so willingly to the wellbeing of our patients and staff, and appreciate your enduring passion to help others in the health system and general community," volunteer coordinator Jenny Francis said.
Over the last year the volunteers in the Bega Hospital Auxiliary, one of the groups that contribute to SERH, have raised $32,000.
This funding was used to purchase items for the hospital that included sports monitors for medical ward, an ultrasound probe, a Super Annie Simulator for staff training, televisions for the day surgery unit and a vein illuminator for theatres.
Bega Hospital Auxiliary president Kay Dowton said she worked with a very cooperative and hardworking group.
"They never fail to come up when I ask for help," she said.
