The community has once again been incredibly generous as the Bega District News and Merimbula News Weekly called on you to donate gifts for the region's more disadvantaged children and families.
This is the sixth year of our toy appeal and we are blown away every time by the volume of donations under the Christmas trees.
This year's appeal closes on Monday, December 16, 5pm. That's when representatives from Bega Valley Salvation Army, Vinnies and Mackillop Family Support Services will split the donated toys and gifts ready to distribute to their clients in time for Christmas. A selection of appropriate items will also be donated to the children's ward at South East Regional Hospital.
Donations of new, unwrapped items can be left at the BDN office in Sapphire Marketplace, or under the tree in Club Sapphire Merimbula up until 5pm Monday, December 16.
