At Tathra's Lawrence Park, the Pambula outfit came within 25 runs of a win after Tathra opened the batting and posted a commendable 202 target for the visitors.
Meanwhile, the Bega-Angledale Bulls suffered a defeat at the hands of the South Eurobodalla Pirates in Dalmeny on Saturday.
The Bulls also finished painfully close to the result, falling just 13 runs shy of victory.
At Tathra, the Eagles opened the batting and looked uneasy through the middle order despite a strong open.
Opener Lachlan Trickey was done for a duck, but batting partner Pete Bennett did not waiver and began to take control of play.
When Tynan Taylor went out for seven, the Bluedogs began to look threatening.
Shannon Grass added 16 before he was neatly bowled, but thanks to a Pete Bennett stint of 63 the score was still cruising into triple figures.
A series of four quick wickets had the Eagles on the back foot with Adam Blacka done for a single, while captain Chris Dwyer and Quinn Fletcher-Barrie were both caught on single figures.
However, Lachlan Brennan and David Shane quickly righted the ship with a magnificent late order stand of 44 and 26 runs respectively.
When they were caught, Geordie Gibbs was left with no batting partners and the Eagles finished the innings all-out for 202 in the 36th over.
Pambula couldn't quite match Tathra's run rate to finish all-out for 178 in the 38th over.
The visitors had opened well with 26 and 34 from openers Sean Smith and Tom Hammond before lance Musgrave scored a team-best 47 at four.
The bottom order collapsed for Pambula with David Shane cleaning up three late wickets to put the nail in the coffin.
Meanwhile, in Dalmeny the Pirates made a good start against the Bulls with Dean Smith opening for 39, while fellow opener Michael Talbott was returned to the sheds on 10.
Elijah Blair added 24 before a Hamish Wilcox ball saw him dismissed lbw, while Alexander Filmer-Smith made 30 before he was caught.
With a Brendan Connor 21 and a trickle of tail order runs the Pirates reached 163 all-out in the final over.
Ethan Gray scored 32 for Bega-Angledale, while fellow opener Brad Moon was done for 10.
Wilcox's 17 and 30 not-out by Nathan O'Brien kept the Bulls chasing. However, some late wickets took the Bulls down, all out for 150.
