The Bega Chamber of Commerce hosted the annual Carols by Candlelight on December 8, with the Bega District Band and combined choirs leading the hillside of families and locals of all ages.
Bega Girl Guides hosted a sausage sizzle, while battery-powered candles were selling well with proceeds to the Salvation Army.
Santa's visit was of course exciting, but a highlight of the night was when emcee John Watkin asked a young girl what the "must-have present" was for 2019.
"Green grass" came her answer!
"Well where do you go after that - perfect," Mr Watkin said.
