"I'm not that far off it now, I've just got to keep pushing and hopefully I get a qualifier," the 17-year-old said.

"You have to be top-eight in the world, at the moment I'm 11^th or 12^th."

"But I think I can push up in there by the end of the season."

The 2020 Summer Paralympics is in Tokyo from August 25 to December 6.

First the talented T20 athlete will compete at the Australian All Schools Championships in Perth this weekend.

She will compete in the long jump and 100 metres.

"I'm feeling really good," she said.

"I recently got a few Australian records and pbs in the lead up so hopefully I can break them again in Perth."

The Terang College student achieved her national records and personal bests at the world championships in Brisbane.

The three-day All Schools competition includes schools from metropolitan areas as well as from regional and rural parts of Australia.

Sharp, who is coached by Jeremy Dixon in the Inner Speed and Power group, is excited to compete in a new place.

"I have never been to Perth before so hopefully it will be pretty good," she said.

Sharp, who is also a product of the Terang Athletics Club, trains four to five days a week.

"It's pretty full on but nice and fun," she said.

Sharp was at the Terang Gift on Sunday but took a rest from competition.

The youngster also enjoyed success at the Athletics Australia Track and Field National Championships in Sydney earlier this year.

She has had her sights set on All Schools since the beginning of the year.
