The Danish ace will join Australian star Richie Porte in the Trek-Segafredo team for the January 19-26 WorldTour season opener.
While Trek-Segafredo are yet to announce their line-up for the Australian race, Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad said the 23-year-old would race in Adelaide for the third-straight year.
Pedersen had the biggest win of his career in September when he won world championship road race in Yorkshire, England.
Three-time world champion Peter Sagan has also been a Tour Down Under regular, winning a stage at this year's edition.
Several reigning world champions have showcased the rainbow stripes in Adelaide, with Cadel Evans competing after his historic 2009 title.
