Mads Pedersen is the latest reigning world road cycling champion to start his season at Adelaide's Tour Down Under.
The Danish ace will join Australian star Richie Porte in the Trek-Segafredo team for the January 19-26 WorldTour season opener.
While Trek-Segafredo are yet to announce their line-up for the Australian race, Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad said the 23-year-old would race in Adelaide for the third-straight year.
Pedersen had the biggest win of his career in September when he won world championship road race in Yorkshire, England.
Three-time world champion Peter Sagan has also been a Tour Down Under regular, winning a stage at this year's edition.
Several reigning world champions have showcased the rainbow stripes in Adelaide, with Cadel Evans competing after his historic 2009 title.
