A stoic set of 86 runs not-out by Matt Bell salvaged something for the Eden innings with the club, but he ran out of batting partners as the club finished on 116 runs in the 30th over.
Things looked bad from the outset for the Eden club when the top three were done for a solitary run between them.
Adam Blacka bowled Andrew Evelyn, while Geordie Gibbs caught Patrick Kearney behind off another Blacka ball for a pair of ducks.
Drew Mudaliar had hit a single, but Bell at four salvaged the innings, while Tim Bowes, Joel Hutchison and later Jessie Mudaliar were all dismissed on zero.
The Eden visitors got something of their own back when Tathra captain Chris Dwyer was bungled for zero by a Jessie Mudaliar catch.
However, the Eagles rallied to a win at 2/117 inside of 20 overs with a Shannon Grass knock of 55 runs not-out.
Jakome Roberts-Charlton had added 19 to the tally before his dismissal and 23 not-out by Tynan Taylor backing up from his strong form the week prior was enough to ensure the result.
Meanwhile, the Bega-Angledale Bulls have dipped to fifth on the ladder after a loss to the Knights at George Griffin Oval.
Alexander Eadie hit 40 runs, while captain Cody Hazelgrove-Danvers knocked 34 to lead the Bulls as they finished at 9/110.
Pattrick Whittard hit 57 before Eadie caught him and Mikael Hulme scored 38 not-out in Merimbula's 19-over chase to finish at 1/112.
