The glittering night on Saturday, November 9, held at the Bega Commemorative Civic Centre was the first time in 13 years a business awards night had been held in Bega.
This year hundreds of individuals and businesses were nominated by their customers and clients over the past several months, then shortlisted by "mystery shopper" judges.
With 64 finalists across 13 separate categories, their work colleagues, loved ones and supporters, it was a packed auditorium enjoying dinner, entertainment and the rewarding of the best in local business.
Emcee for the night was radio and TV personality Tim Webster, while Bega MP Andrew Constance and Bega Cheese director Richard Parbery were also very special guests.
Mr Webster shared his thoughts on his love of regional Australia - and Bega Cheese - as well as some highlights from his time in the media spotlight, like interviewing Paul McCartney backstage at the Hordern Pavilion in 1976, and sharing a beer with Greg Norman.
Both Mr Constance and Mr Parbery spoke of their passion for Bega and for the local business community and employment opportunities.
"The greatest thing about this region is its heart," Mr Constance said. "And we all benefit from the efforts of our business community."
