Students at the college organised a fundraiser for the Sapphire Community Pantry in the last school term, featuring a barbecue and games.
They raised $600 which they recently presented to the pantry's workers.
"It's to support the pantry as best we can and to get involved," Year 12 student Noma Khumalo said.
The Sapphire Community Pantry is a not-for-profit charity that describes its purpose as nourishing the community.
Its president Christine Welsh said they were already busy with Christmas gifts and were organising a drive for backpacks for students starting school, so the money might go towards those causes.
